The Misconception Of Wearing Makeup Ft Rituals Skincare

Photo taken with my new Oneplus 6 phone. Is it just me or is this selfie camera sick

I have been wearing makeup for the last 9 years and if there is several things for sure, that I have been asked a lot especially from men. Is why I’m wearing it, or they think I have low self-esteem or just bad skin. The most funny misconception of them all, I probably feel like I’m a woman. Which is not the case AT ALL. Like many other guys (thanks to social media, now it’s more the norm that men are wearing makeup as well) and girls, I just love the process of it all and the look. I never ever wear makeup because I feel force to do it and I don’t wear it everyday either. For me wearing make up is like getting dressed. Nothing deeper than that. Like I have already highlighted in one of my previous posts (here), hair is more of an self-esteem “issue” of mine. I always overthink it and try to maintain it “perfect” at all times. But that’s about it. I try to keep a daily skincare routine, to maintain my skin as it’s best. Wearing make up is first really damaging for the skin if you don’t remember to remove probably before going to bed. Let alone sleep with it on.

I have been so lucky to be able to collaborate with the skincare called Rituals for some weeks now and have been focusing on maintaining my skincare rituals the same everyday. I’m not going to review every single product, for that would probably make this post longer than it already is. But my experience with this brand has been more than expected. I’m always a little skeptical trying new skincare brands constantly, as it can sometimes lead to outbreaks. I have now been trying this product for almost two months and it has been a really good experience. The products lives up to what they are made of and has kept my skin moisturised   throughout the process. I have especially gotten a lot of compliments whenever I have used the oil (on the photo above). Which gives a nice glow ( a little goes a long way). For the nights I use their hydrating overnight cream, which really leaves my skin hydrated throughout the night. Even when I wake up in the mornings. This cream would also be a perfect fit for long fights, as it can be quite hard for the skin.

If you’r looking for new skincare products to try out, this is definitely a brand to have in consideration. And I’m not saying this because I have made a collaboration with the brand. These are my sincere thoughts about the brand.
